Life imitates art, and vice versa
Hey lets be honest for a second here. Its great to be proud of European space achievements. But yesterdays SpaceX launch was a whole different category. First it was a test flight of a space vehicle in development. Second, its a reusable space vehicle.
An ode to Joy! 🇪🇺
mMn may it be an omen and a sign of things to come
Kinda can’t wait for Europe to be world leader rather than the US.
Hopefully, an omen!
I definitely want to see Europe succeed, but that’s a ridiculous comparison and SpaceX is decades ahead of any European Space capabilities.
Test Flights are expected to fail and the reliability, cost and pace in which SpaceX is able to use Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy is unmatched in every aspect.
We absolutely have no business being petty, we must turn up our capabilities and show real results and innovation.
Europe is booming.
Economy up.
Stocks up.
Inflation down.
Military strength up.
Handed the title of leader of the free world has massive gains.
At this rate I demand it’s renamed to Wrance, cause of all them W’s
LOL, Ariane 6 is not even partially reusable as Falcon 9. Starship is still under development and is two generations ahead, of course it will have accidents.
I mean, this is great but holy copium comparing a rocket ready for commercial flights with a rocket in development.
Symbolic
Huge opurtunity for Europe to take down US and become a world leader
This is beautiful to see.
What a super dumb title. We should just erase all the editors and journalists that write this shit. The two have nothing in common, don’t be a laughing stocks, americans and russians are the big 2, we don’t need to be like them.
This shit is why Trump exists, this shit gave my Country that fascist of Giuseppe Conte, stop it.
Heh.
I won’t deny that Ariane 6 is an outdated design, but I do find it extremely funny how much people were using Starship as a reason why Ariane 6 (and a myriad of other rockets) should be canceled… when the damned thing hasn’t been able to land properly in the first place.
This is the second time the thing has disintegrated in the atmosphere. And I’m betting that it ain’t gonna be the last…
Also. At this point the biggest obstacle to land once again on the Moon isn’t the SLS or the Orion capsule, but the fact that SpaceX is unable to make Starship –spacecraft chosen as the Lunar Lander– work.
Which, onece again, is extremely hilarious. As the Artemis critics love to demand that the program should be cancelled and that the US should fully use Starship for everything (not just the landing) instead.
Edit: it seems that the SpaceX cult is coming out of the woodwork…
Not a bad week for Europa; defense spending, expanding the nuclear umbrella, Ukraine coalition of the willing, Ariane. 🇪🇺
That said it’s always disappointing when any space endeavour has setbacks. We are all beneficiary’s in the really long-run.

Haa Haa
Well, no one likes the space nazi. It’s gone so bad people applaud when their shuttles crash.
I say karma ‘s a b#tch.
It’s very dishonest to present it that way. You can hate on Elon musk all you want, fact is there is a generational gap in technology and ambition between Ariane 6 and starship. Starship is still in development phase, in that context there is no failures, just learnings. Compare Ariane 6 with falcon 9. And you’ll that Ariane 6 is not even 1% or the market share.
We keep on winning and I’m not tired yet!
Good, now pump 30-40 billion more into it and lets get development so we can catch up to SpaceX. We need a European Starlink type network also.
I would correct the title: While SpaceX’s Starship SPECTACULARLY Crashes
Karma
Having moved to Europe from the US last January, I think i picked the perfect time to do so. I knew Trump would win, and I knew it’d be bad, but i didn’t think it would be so bad so fast.
Good to see Ariane 6 finally fly. But let’s be honest here and acknowledge that these 2 rockets are not playing in the same league.
Europe is still waaaaaay behind the US when it comes to space.
SpaceX has had 27 launches this year while Ariane 6 had one. It’s way too early to be celebrating anything. People used to laugh when the Falcon 9 was blowing up. Nobody is laughing now.
Haha Musk loses again. Idiot.
the partial nature of the OP’s headline is an excellent demonstration of the brain-rot of europe.
May the 12 stars of europe shine brighter than ever! 🇪🇺❤️
American superiority right thurrrrr.
Europe must be thankful to the French for their NATO skepticism and determination for self reliance on many sectors including aerospace.
I’m not even going to pretend that this is anything other than deeply satisfying.
If you want to compare Ariane 6 launches you have to do it to Falcon 9 launches, not a rocket on an iterative design process. Space X launched 134 Falcon 9 rockets last year, Ariane 6 has had a total of 2 launches and extensive delays.
This is absolutely ridiculous lol.
Did anyone else see that Musk actually showed up to Trump’s Congress address in a suit? I wonder if that would have happened if that journalist didn’t ask that question of Zelensky about why he never wears a suit to meet the president 😂
