  17. Special elections on April 1 happening in Florida District 1 and 6 and NYC on June 24. If we can flip the seats to Democrats, we can take back House majority and weaken Trump’s agenda.

    Also:
    – State Supreme Court election in Wisconsin also on April 1.
    – Florida Senate District 19 and House District 32 Special General Elections on June 10.

    We need all the help we can get to spread the word to gather independents, non-voters and lied to Republicans to vote strategically.

  18. At this point, if the entrenched lobbyist loving democratic leaders aren’t taking their cues from Bernie, AOC, Jasmine, and Al, then they clearly don’t *want* to win, or fight, *or* give up their seat to anyone else who might be willing to get blood on their knuckles.

  22. Yes, but this is the great challenge democrats now face: there is a good bet that if they ever take power one of the richest men in the world is going to jail or going to lose most of his wealth. So Musk has 10’s of billions of reasons to keep Republicans in power.

    Trump could try and pardon him on the way out, or at least pardon him so long as Trump is able to, but there’s a good bet musk has committed crimes up and down levels of government here. Musk could flee to one of many places, but so long as his main assets are headquartered in the US, they’re vulnerable to seizure by the government or all sorts of things.

    Trump was always going to try and die in office. but he’s old and his mind has been failing him for years. Musk though, he’s only 53, there’s a good bet he’s going to spend the rest of his life trying to shield himself from liability for all of this. And that’s a concerning prospect so long as he has a direct path to the levers of power in Republican politics.

    Sanders is of course right, there needs to be an investigation. There’s likely going to be an internal explosion as the actual cabinet get pissed off with Musk undermining their authority, and Musk with having his power undermined by these lowly poors in cabinet, that will also need investigations if cabinet members are letting him do whatever he wants. Trump will have a falling out with Musk over popularity of course, but Musk is the one with the cash here and Trump cares about that because he can’t afford the tech oligarchs as enemies. And Musk fighting against dems might keep him in favour with Trump. Musk might be starting out the Trump term as shadow president and finish it as Zaphod Beeblebrox while Trump and Vaught and whomever try and gut the federal government legally with congress while Musk plays with his rockets and fights with democrats.
