  3. It’s not that Francken doesn’t support Ukraine, but rather that he fancied himself as a smart international politics analyst when he made that statement, while forgetting that that is not his place as a minister of Defence.

  10. Everyone with half a brain cell knows that Ukraine will not end the war with all the territory it had before the war – unless someone starts seriously intervening, which they are not.

    The issue with Frankens statement isn’t the content but the fact that he’s sec def now.

    He has always supported Ukraine.

  12. Zijn oneliners zijn vaak echt gewoon dom of misplaatst, en haaks op vele partij-standpunten, het staat hem natuurlijk vrij om het over bepaalde zaken anders te denken dan BDW, liever dat dan iemand die blindelings volgt.
    Bijkomend viel het volledige gekende artikel wel mee. De vraagstelling was ook veel anders dan de headlines lieten uitschijnen.
    En zelf, moest hij er eerder anders over gedacht hebben dan dit bericht… Dan is dit toch een positieve evolutie?

    Soit, ik heb er wel vertrouwen in als minister van defensie.
    In BXL en WL (met enige voorzichtigheid) is er precies meer vertrouwen in de persoon Theo Francken.
