  4. Hay que entender que en la mente estadounidense, declararse avergonzado ya es hacer mucho. Se bajan un poco de su soberbia tradicional y se creen que es todo un mérito. Son como la niña rica del instituto que su padre se arruina y de repente ella encuentra mucho sacrificio y nobleza en vivir como los demás y quiere medallitas.

    El momento de hacer esto, de forma constante y en vuestro propio país, fue hace años, yanquis soberbios y vagos.

  7. It’s fascinating how Americans have revolutionized the language: they call their immigrants expatriates, as if moving to another country for work is a different thing depending on which passport you have. It must be that “immigrant” is only for others.
