  1. European parliamentary systems, majoritarian and proportional, suffer too much fragmentation to be stable, resulting in more time spent to fulfil basic constitutional obligations rather than enacting public policy.

Something must be done to stop it, whether through change in the electoral system, party system, or in the constitutional systems.

  2. The problem here is simple.

Portugal refused to legislate a black and white bill on lobbying. Current rules are joke! But the only ones that suffer from having this uncertainty are us, the portuguese.

Now our PM can say that he did not violate any laws, as they are not written. But we all know now that this needs an answer. A Proper One. If he won’t quit, he needs to act! I hate the guy, but if he does something, I would at least respect it.

Instead of addressing the main issue. Lobbying and payments to politicians with a law that could finally set this right for all the future, no, we are here making excuses.

So of course we have a problem. A seriousness in the job problem. We could just simply legislate this problem, but then all the parties would loose that sweet sweet grey colloured lobbying money :'(
