How can you get 2 months to do this! Work and my missus would kill me!
Interested in how you planned this out; training, route, overnight stays etc. Most I’ve done was a 3 day cycle to Land’s End from home.
Would you ever do something like that again? If so where to where?
I mean I know train fares are expensive these days, but surely you could have managed the coach fare or something.
What was the purpose? Was it for charity?
How much training do you need to do? I do a lot of walking and can reasonably comfortably do 25-30 miles in a day but how easy is that to maintain day after day? Presumably after a week you’re knackered and getting blisters etc?
What is the solution to the Navier-Stokes Existence and Smoothness problem, i.e., does a smooth, global solution exist for the incompressible 3D Navier-Stokes equations, and if so, can it be proven that the solution remains smooth for all time?
How many different pairs of boots and socks did you go through and at what point did the blisters stop hurting?
Do you have any further walks planned?
Did you plan your stops along the entire way or was it just a case of seeing where you were likely to be in the days beforehand?
What did you take with you?
How far on average did you walk per day?
All in one go?
How often did you play the Lord of the Rings soundtrack?
Where did you shower and how many public toilets did you come across?
Despite other negative comments. You have a massive well done from me ! What a great adventure. What great places to see. And you endured …… (unlike all the ones throwing criticism at you. ). I really am not sure what is up with some people. As one who regularly in the Services pitched up at night. Big thumbs up from me.
What did your kit look like? how was the weather? (also post this in UKhiking or smth xD )
All that way and you kept your spirits up despite your journeys end being east Kent. Heroic.
How many miles per day on average, and over what kind of time period were you walking?
Whats your breakdown of your expenses? And what was your budget and if you kept within your budget.
What’s your favourite type of shark?
Any scary moments?
Did you take the Proclaimers song as a personal challenge?
Did you run into any trouble?
Did you have a coach?
Coz if you did it would have been a lot easier than walking!
I’ll see myself out
How cool. Which bit of the walk did you enjoy most? Which was the most exciting landscape for you?
What was your favourite and least favourite day
Where did you enjoy walking the most, and least
How did it feel arriving back in Thanet after such an epic walk? Did you have a favourite place you passed through?
Did you lose faith in British people during this journey? Or the opposite? Or a little bit of each??
Your pictures are beautiful, what camera/phone did you use to take them?
What type of pants are you wearing?
I hate it when the car breaks down so far from home.
Terrific challenge. Well done.
Train prices are a scam aren’t they?
Where was the 8th photo (colourful buildings) taken? It looks lovely.
What would you say were the standout best and worst moments during your journey and what was your favourite place to pass through?
You should walk to New Zealand next see if you can catch up with Dr Fergus Craig!
