Fox & Friends Host Brian Kilmeade Stunningly Breaks from Trump for Vilifying Ukraine: ‘Putin Is the Bad Guy’

    * Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade is speaking out against President Donald Trump’s recent actions toward Ukraine. Though the *Fox & Friends* host, 60, has been a longtime supporter of the president, he recently vocalized his disagreement with Trump’s approach to peace negotiations in Eastern Europe, which have seemingly distanced the United States from Ukraine and appeared to favor Russia.
    * In a post to X on March 3, the Fox News anchor urged his followers not to forget Russia’s aggressive role in the conflict. “Can we all remember [Vladimir Putin] is the bad guy,” Kilmeade wrote, tagging the Kremlin. “They invaded — they kidnap kids.” “Whatever happens — Ukraine can not lose,” he continued. “Eastern Europe will be next.”
    * Kilmeade’s comments come days after a [tense White House meeting](https://people.com/trump-vance-berate-zelenskyy-white-house-meeting-video-11688521) between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Feb. 28 meeting, intended to seal a deal for natural resources from Ukraine in exchange for U.S. military aid, resulted in Trump and J.D. Vance shouting at Zelenskyy, falsely berating him for not saying “thank you” and calling him “disrespectful.”

  26. I listened to Kilmeade’s book about ‘Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers’. It’s trash. It portrays all the Texans as shining knights and all the Mexicans as evil. All of the historical information is middle school level. He has no foundation of respectability to stand on.

  31. Didn’t Fox News invite Zelensky after that disastrous meeting and broadcast Zelensky’s words in a normal form without distortion and manipulation? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the people working at Fox actually sided with Zelensky for ideological reasons (honestly, I really wouldn’t be surprised if they could have switched sides since the time Zelensky gave an interview near the front).
    And yes, as far as I understand, this is at least the second Fox employee to challenge Trump’s position. The first would be the guy who let Zelensky talk about the situation despite the failed meeting in the White House.

  34. Fuck FOX. Not because Kilmeade decided to be critical. Because they should be shouldering a lot of the blame for this situation we’re in. This doesn’t excuse the networks behavior and they don’t get to promote lies for years and years in support of Trump and then suddenly be like “…oh wow this is extreme” without first admitting their own shit behavior.
