They’ll have a practice at the range where you shoot 5 bullets in a static environment and they get you to do a few rounds of 3km runs with equipment.
Then they send you to the front line where you will have a 50% or more chance of getting killed.
Could they not spend time on actually training WOT up to standard?

I’d be surprised if something similar is not rolled out to other nations across Europe that do not already have a national service / reservist training policy.

It’s one thing to support your nation by working and paying taxes, quite another to die for that nation.
My grandfather fought in the Blue Army during the Interwar Period and fortunately able to come home alive to the US.

For a country full of people so proud of its traditional values far too many people seem to be talking about forcing young women into combat. “So when war breaks out only military aged males go to die?” Yes, precisely that. That’s your duty to the country, no it’s not fair but that’s how it has been for generations. This was already known in Poland, as only males (and to my knowledge, some females studying medicine) are forced to go through military qualification at 18/19.
I will only go if they offer me money, otherwise no thanks

A lot of people are against it I see. But to be honest if war comes there will be a draft. Wouldn’t you rather be trained either way before the draft happens?
