Explain to me what’s wrong with individual taxes and individual pension?
I don’t want a 1.5x pension as a married couple despite paying more taxes because I am married.
If you are politicizing the tax burden unfairly imposed on families, then you are part of the problem. This is not a left or right issue—it is simply an issue that has been ignored for far too long. Families from all walks of life, regardless of religion, race, gender, or political viewpoint, are affected.
If anything, this should be called a sexist issue. For decades, women were confined to traditional roles, and this tax system is a relic of that outdated mindset. It penalizes women for working and perpetuates inequality. It’s time to address this injustice.
simply put if you appose this you apposes womens right to work and you would simply prefer them and by extension the family unit they provide for suffer for your views.
You can smell the pension funds lobbies in full play. Probably the only democratic vote the country never fulfilled. They drag feet like nowhere else. Pay x2 get x1.5. Surprised nobody took it to European courts yet. First step of retirement: divorce.
Do we already know when the referendum will take place?
Married couples should not be paying more tax and receiving less pension than unmarried couples. It makes no sense in a modern society.
Maybe, for once, we could focus on the actual problem- why are the ultra rich paying EVEN LESS taxes than 60 years ago, while the rest of the population sees rising cost, stagnant pension and wages, and that’s without even mentioning what’s happening with insurance costs?
Is there a protest over this? There needs to be more of an outcry.
I’ve lost my job, multinational jobs are getting more and more outsourced and things are looking bleak. Of course the government won’t put pressure on companies who are here for tax benefits to hire locally – let’s just fuck over normal citizens.
If I divorced my husband, I would be able to save substantially more money in taxes and that’s just stupid. If they penalized couples who shared the same residence & didnt say vows, I could perhaps stomach it easier, although that is entirely unfair too. It makes no sense…
Fuck this shit. Time for a divorce. I‘ll ask her tonight, wish me luck <3
