Hello everyone! I am a student in Finland who just moved to a new house on Feb 1st. My previous house came with electricity in the rent so I didn't need to have a contract myself, but for the new house the housing company offered Väre discount, so I got a 1 year fixed contract with them.
I don't have too much usage and it's just the fridge, two small lamps and my laptop. On Feb 27 I got a bill from Väre with negative total euros in consumption, so I assumed I didn't have to pay anything from Jan to Feb 10. Today, I received a bill from vantaan energia that made me a bit confused. I know that Vantaan energia is a distributor, and the usage of 110kw for Feb is correct according to the väppi app, but how does the billing work exactly? Is there any payment I need to do for Väre or I just need to pay the bill from distributor?
I already apologize for asking what seems to be a stupid question, but since it's my first time having a electricity contract I want to make sure everything is ok. Thanks in advance!

Pay the bill that you get with the information in the bill.
Grid / distributor bill (siirtomaksu) is separate from the actual energy, and yes, you’ll need to pay both.
Not sure what that negative 4 euro is about, but I wouldn’t worry about it
edit, your perusmaksu looks …weird, this is an apartment is it not? Three phases at those amps? It’s only 5€ per month but if you’re talking to the company maybe ask if that’s really correct. Your landlord should have the info on what the fuses should be.
It’s the bill for tax and distribution fees and such. They are usually billed separately. Often they end up being bigger than the actual usage bill. You pay both of the bills.
You can one bill from the supplier (which you can choose) and another bill from the distributor (which you can’t choose). They are separate bills and you have to pay both.
It’s about Electrical grid, company that own that sends bills for grid To being there and upkeeping it. No need To use any power and still have To pay.. Does this answer your question?
The company who sells you your electricity is different than the company who maintains the grid
Regarding the Väre bill, how I’m reading this, they are transferring the €4,40 to the next bill. The Total line is weird, though.. I would expect I to be €0.00
So you live in Vantaa.
Make contract with Oomi and you’ll get everything on one bill.
Also, you must pay the company that operates the distribution network (grid) in your area (in your case it’s Vantaan Energia), you can’t change grid companies. You can only decide who you buy your energy from. You picked Väre but it could’ve been any one of them. Väre also automatically signed you up with billing of the transfer fee from Vantaan Energia. Oomi which was mentioned is one with Vantaan Energia, that’s why you only get one bill if you get your energy from Oomi and live in Vantaa.
