14. For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us: (NOT QUARTERED, but given his words recently I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries)

The Declaration of Independence is for all Americans, not Trump’s personal collection.
People think that this some scheme when really it’s just about prestige. Trump is obsessed with having everyone around think he’s fancy and posh by having a buch of rare things he can’t personally appreciate (which is why everything he owns is so tacky). He just wants to be able to point to it and say “look at this cool thing I got. No one else has it because I’m special.”
This would also conveniently deny it to the viewing public which would make it even more special that he has it.
Just grab one from the gift shop, and tell him it’s real.
The article stated that a spokesperson for President claimed that Trump wants to have the Declaration on display where everyone can see it.

According to this guy Trump has already done 8 of the 27 things Jefferson listed in the Declaration to justify the revolution. Maybe Trump should actually read the thing to make sure he doesn’t check off to many more. And this was a month ago so it’s possible he’s already increased his tally.
