  1. If the US government was paying for the services then this is frustrating but not unexpected. As it is a commercial operation, if required another contact can be entered into without US funding.

  2. Hopefully Maxar shares plummet, much like a musk starship.

Another American business destroyed thanks to Trump.

  3. I swear I woke up this morning, before reading anything, thinking how hard would it be to croudfund and buy the whole Maxar and donate it to ukraine…
Wikipedia says the market cap is 4 billions as of 2022… Plus all the complications because it is still an american company, plus it is a company made of people who may not appreciate… But it was a funny half asleep thought, go figure…

  4. Maxar has a sales contact form and email contact form. Feel free to message them — and sign up people from the foreign ministries of Russian to maxar newsletter since they seem to be okay with helping them

  5. I am pretty sure UK has satellites as well that can assist

  6. Actually… this was as a result of Trump being a little bitch, with his couch-bitch-boy Vance, and Zelensky not bending a knee when they tried to bully him…

It’s terrifying and sad for Ukranians but hopefully will result in growing ostracisation and condemnation of the US.

  7. What is to stop someone in, say, Turkey or the Netherlands for example, having a contract and coincidentally downloading all the same stuff Ukraine was? Surely this isn’t that hard for them to work around.

  8. What an absurd situation: check out EutelSat, and don’t forget Maxxar is just one of many, and doesn’t seem to do real time delivery and in any case, does it matter that much?

Local Intel is burning the Russians down and it will get worse. If Musk turns off Starlink the French have little respect for him…it’s all about imperial heft and propaganda and Eutel has a big foot print. (Shares are on a run upwards!)

The US subsidises it’s exports, why do you think plastics made in Rancho Cucamunga CA are cheaper than those in U.K.?

  9. Another entity cowling to emperor fullofshitticus.

  10. Fuck Rump, and fuck this company for complying with a “request”.

First rule of dealing with an authoritarian: do not comply in advance.

  11. I’m an American vet and Ukraine needs to have a memory of all the companies that stayed in business or can’t wait to get back into business with Russia and that supported cuck Trump and King Elon. I’m also looking forward to a video of a accident for pulter.

  12. Wait… a private company can interrupt an ongoing contract on request of 3rd party?

  13. It surprises me that some people think Trump is playing chess, while he is simply playing checkers because he is a moron. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s doing it deliberately in favor of Russia, so not only moron, but also a traitor.

  14. Not Maxar. Trump is directing this thru the Commerce Dept.

  15. who knew a bunch of reddit lowlifes could predict the future?

  16. Anytime I hear “administrative request” or something similar I just think they had a choice and choose to comply. Nobody has a backbone or morality apparently.

  17. fuck Maxar. Lets hope Airbus and ICEYE pick up the slack.

No American company can be relied on.

  18. I’ve emailed Maxar sales:

    [spacecommunications@maxar.com](mailto:spacecommunications@maxar.com)

I let them know what I think about their actions and those they take the orders from.

  19. You know the American citizens and others who support Ukraine can still buy satellite images from Maxar and send those to Ukraine right LOL. That’s how Covert Cabal has been doing currently. When there is a will, there is a way.

  20. Memo to Europe / Taiwan / Japan and Korea, don’t trust Maxar Technologies
