  1. People like Ramzan Kadyrov are some of the most evil men iv’e seen. Keep fighting the good fight Zelensky, show those good for nothing melters what a future EU Member can do!

  2. Okay, before I start, I am as disgusted by the Russian invasion as anyone, and fair play to Ukraine for handing it to them, they deserve our full support. Also, I have Ukrainian friends, one in Ukraine whose last message on Social Media was that his city has no electricity and patchy wifi, but he was going to go down fighting. Another good friend whose family are in the midst of it, both parents are doctors and can’t leave.

Now that’s out of the way I want to point out that Zelensky is very far to the right, almost to the extreme. Under his presidency the civil war in the east was ramped up, Russian speakers faced unfair discrimination, 14,000 of them have been killed by sectarian militias, some of whom are openly nazi, all of whom have been taken into the national army. Obviously none of this excuses Putins invasion, but it annoys me how the western media are painting this guy out to be some sort of perfect leader. The western media is not telling us the truth about this guy.

  3. Is there anything to be said about scrapping the zoom video and sending the Dail over there for the meeting.

  4. Zelensky banned the largest opposition party – who came second in the last elections – along with 11 other parties. Not exactly democratic, no?

Watch how people excuse the literal curtailment of democracy.

  5. So what part of Irish history and culture will he reference? 1916? Michael Collins? War of Independence? Yeats? Heaney? His speech writers are pretty smart in connecting the Ukraine War with his audience history and culture.

  6. US Congress, British Parliament and now the Dáil and the Seanad. Bad enough the fella has a war to fight, but he’s also stuck on the worst tour any comedian has ever had to endure
