    More than 5,000 Ukrainian troops have served in Iraq during Ukraine’s five years of service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    “Enduring peace, stability and prosperity are common values to fight for in the modern world. Your mission in Iraq has been successfully completed,” said Viktor Nedopas, Charge d’Affairs of the Ukrainian Embassy in Iraq.

    The Ukrainians served as the third-largest Coalition forces contingent in Iraq, with about 1,700 soldiers from 2003-2005.

  4. Ask the US for the money back, and then the rest of the coalition of the willing can do the same thing. I think that about 500 billion will do, and then use that money against Russia in Ukraine.

    JD Vance didn’t even know that just about every NATO had troops in Afghanistan for 20 years. It cost them all billions, but not one has present America with a bill.

  17. Thank you Ukraine for covering our asses ! Restitution and resettlement fees I would guess 100 Billion or so. Is a nice estimate. I’m sure Wagner cost russputin around half of that with the plane and all.

  18. Yup, I was there 20 years ago at Camp Echo…with the Ukrainians, the Polish, the Bulgarians, and many other former Soviet bloc armies.

  19. I never even knew this until recently. Also I’ve seen pictures of South Korean military personnel wearing desert camouflage any idea of their involvement in Afghan/Iraq?
