This is a political dick move. It may be in the letter of the law, but not the spirit.
The whole concept of cyclical marches is to protect long established demonstrations, so someone doesnt swoop in and reserve/take away your time and place, that you have been using for years. The only reason they arent considered cyclical anymore, is because they couldnt officially march (still happened) last years due to pandemic restrictions.
Like them or not , they are a legal organization that has the right to demonstrate and they have been doing that in the sane place/time for 10 years. If thats not cyclical, I dont know what is.
If you want to stop the march, legally ban the organization, don’t use a weak loophole.
During the independence march we’ve seen: apartments set on fire, clashes with the police, vandalism, thugs and football hooligans with baseball bats wandering around Warsaw downtown and a group of thugs attacking a group of old ladies sitting on the ground (seriously, how much of a piece of scum you must be to hit an old lady?).
Oh, not to mention that the organizers invited far right groups inspired openly by fascism to march in the centre of Warsaw. Yes, groups inspired by the Adolf Hitler’s allies, the same guys that cheered the invasion of Poland, were parading in the centre of the city razed to the ground by Nazis.
The fact that there are people in Poland (too many I would say) that don’t see anything wrong with this event is absolutely disturbing.
The 11th of November independence march is a fucking disgusting event, it’s not patriotic, it doesn’t honour anyone and spits on the face of all the people who died under Nazis occupation.
