I think he would support it to be honest. He was impulsive towards Oppenheimer for breaking Marie Curie’s heart but sparks are just spaks
I’d really like to see Leon ousted by the board and have the original founder reinstated.
Come to think of it.. did Tesla’s (indirect) descendents ever give permission for their family name to be used?
He would have fucking hated elon
Never had the idea: Technically existing descendants from Tesla could throw a stick into Leon’s spokes.
But Tesla died without direct heirs. A Serbian nephew received the property later after it was briefly confiscated. That nephew again died in Serbia without any heirs. Everything went into a museum.
So Elon shithead can seemingly do whatever he wants with that name cause there is nobody able and willing to defend the name.
Nikola was a bit of a fuckhead too actually. Brilliant, but an ass hat too.
To be fair, getting his name/ideas stolen is kinda on-brand for him.
I’m not saying it’s *right*, but I’m saying it’s happened before.
Tesla believed in eugenics.
Perhaps an heir might have done something when the company was founded 60 years after Tesla’s death, but it might be too late now.
I searched a bit on the internet. The use of a person’s name for commercial purposes is often regarded as something similar as using his intellectual property, especially copyright, which usually lasts for 70 years after a person’s death.
I just saw that the band Tesla is playing near me, and I’m kinda surprised _they_ haven’t changed their name. (Unless, like many artists from that era of hair metal, they pander real hard to the glut of MAGA gen-x’ers trying to relive their youth.)
