It’s getting hard to figure out who I dislike more.

  1. The homophobic jab from yer man Andy Capp was uncalled for, but I think we can all agree, whatever the sexual orientation of these fellows here may be, they’re a pair of wankers

  2. Healy Raes gombeen clan upper-class wealthy elite of Kerry playing the peasant.. That fecker needs to lose the anti Dub stance and realise that there’s more to Ireland than their subsidy world of shenanigans in the rural Kingdom with MHR as chief

  3. They would make a great couple , the pair of them dining out in the chic restaurants of Dublin then dropping into the George for a nightcap on the way home .

  4. Awful stuff, truly dreadful. Plenty of reasons to dislike Leo, but MHR is a poster child for everything that wrong with politics in this country.

  5. Not a fan of both. MHR should not be really insulting anyone in the work place. Regardless of what he was implying here. If you can’t use reasonable debate to break down someone’s policy or view point than urs is probably not great either.

  6. Saying someone is “*airy-fairy*” or “*away with the fairies*” is not a gay slur.

Saying “*you’re some fairy Leo*” would have been a slur and a jab at Leo’s sexuality.

Varadkar is within his right to be offended if thats how he feels, but that doesn’t make what Healy-Rae said a slur. They’re both gobshites.

I say this as a big ole gay fairy gobshite myself.

  7. To be a little serious, imagine the debate in the heat of the moment and I can see how it could be taken as offensive.
I don’t believe it was meant as such but in a heated debate you don’t have as much time to analyse like we do, watching it repeatedly.
In that position everyone is vulnerable and everyone is out to win.

  8. The fella on the left, an entitled middle class immirgrant who has no empathy for the irish people who plays the LBGTQXYZ card.

The fella on the right the first confirmed time traveller who got lost on his way to a Michael Davitt rally.

  9. i forsee absolutely no problems with referring to irelands first openly gay taoiseach as “airy-fairy”
