The highest maximum temperature was recorded at the Chrysoupoleos Peristeri weather station and was equal to 23.8˚C.
The map below shows the maximum temperatures up to 17:10 on Friday, while the table shows the 8 highest maximum values from 537 weather stations in the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr.
Ok….not to belittle Greece, whom Australia has a great relationship with, we here in south eastern Australia are heading for 35°c+ for more than a week! We average ONE day a year in march above 35! By the 12th, we’ll have had at least five! And 9 of the first 12 days of March above 30°c. Off the charts!
