Sorry if this isn’t the best group to ask, I’m not sure where else I could find someone close to knowledge I could ask.
Digging through Ancestry.com stuff for my family. My grandpas side has Polish roots, but what is this city (the one in highlighted green) in “Russia” he was apparently born in? Is that a letter D? S? I can’t find any city on Google. Maybe it was part of Russia for a while in the mid 1800’s? Sulvaki? Duvalki?
Appreciate any info if anyone knows what this City is!

[Suwałki.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suwa%C5%82ki) It used to be under Russian occupation so that makes sense.
Upper town is Suwałki – which was under Russian tsarist government until WW1 and lower is Posen – Poznań, it was German then so name is German too.
