  3. I wanted to make sure more people were prepared for the news tomorrow. This has nothing to do with Trump, and Trudeau stepped down on his own accord before Trump was in office due to issues within Canada. The election result is for the new party leader, which means we will have a new (interm) prime minister. Canada is due for a federal election in October, but very likely the new prime minister will call for a federal election that will happen around late April or early May. So the new prime minister will be campaigning to keep their new job, and we will either keep the same person as our fully elected prime minister, or the interm prime minister will be ousted after a very short term in the job.

    The Liberal Party election results will be tomorrow (Sunday), and there’s no huge swearing in day especially for an interm prime minister, so it will be a very chill and casual change over when the incoming and outcoming prime ministers decide they got everything sorted out. Sources say that it will be Friday at the latest when we officially have a new PM.

    This is NOT Canada or Canadians or our leaders backing down. This is just part of how our country works, and life goes on regardless of extenuating circumstances.

  14. Trudeau stated earlier in the week that he’s not just walking out the door. He’ll be helping transition the new leader, in order to navigate the current mess. Probably 90% of the training will be breathing exercises for before and after phone calls with our neighbor.

    Threats of war are sobering, pretty sure Canada is gonna have clear heads this election given the threats, but also the new opportunities opening up.

    First time in my lifetime Canada has a real chance of really defining who we want to be as a nation.

    Most of my life, we’ve had to follow stupid American ideas. And had to give up on Canadian values little by little.

    This is the first election I’m really looking forward to. Think Canadian heroes, innovators and people w great ideas are gonna break out and make us proud…… again
