On February 26, Princess Kate and Prince William stepped out for their second joint engagement of the year, visiting Wales ahead of St. David’s Day. For the occasion, she donned an olive-green tweed jacket, reportedly by Ralph Lauren—a timeless piece she has had in her wardrobe for at least 18 years. She styled it with a black turtleneck, a tartan midi skirt, and chunky heeled boots.
The same jacket made an appearance back in 2007 at the Cheltenham Race Festival, where Kate, then dating Prince William, paired it with a matching flared skirt, black boots, and a collared shirt. Four years later, she became the Duchess of Cambridge—but her impeccable ability to recycle fashion staples remains unchanged.

Her recent sustainable fashion moment comes just after Kensington Palace issued a rare statement about Princess Kate’s wardrobe coverage.
The mother of three has reworn several of her outfits recently. On January 30th, she was seen rewearing a black and white Zara houndstooth tie-neck dress that was reportedly on sale for $20!
The midi dress, which came with long sleeves and a trendy bow at the neckline, was first worn in 2020 while she was in Bradford. After that, she donned the ensemble during a trip to UCL in 2021 and wore it again while visiting the Aberfan Memorial Garden in 2023.
This proves just how timeless her wardrobe is! We won’t be surprised if we see Princess Charlotte wearing her mom’s outfits in the future.
