The Connaught gold bracelets are worn by all the female descendants of Princess Margaret of Connaught’s daughter, Queen Ingrid. The slim open bangles are, therefore, of great sentimental value to many of Europe’s royal women, historically seen on the wrists of Princesses across Sweden, Denmark, and Greece.

While the origins of the bracelet are unknown, The Court Jeweller surmises that they may well have been a gift to Princess Margaret from her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. She and her sister, Princess Patricia, can both be seen wearing the bracelet on their left wrist in photos from their childhood, and Princess Margaret is sporting the ban in an official portrait taken around the time of her wedding to Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden in 1905.
