Dang, the one where they both held up their hands hit me most. I imagine his fingers must have been crushed at some point. I hope whenever he looks at his hand now, the first thing he sees is not the scars from the trauma he’s endured; but instead the ring that reminds him of how loved he is.

His scars remind me of a cracked porcelain doll. He’s like the personified representation of what this war has taken in sacrifice, the cost and trauma, physically, emotionally… Ravaged by the whims of an overindulgent narcissist, nostalgic for a past that was an illusion. His actions excused and ideals fueled by his impunity. This man’s scars and lost limbs are sobering reminders of what happens when you allow an unchecked power to remain unchecked. The damage we do to others we do to ourselves. I don’t know if it’s just the nature of all things to end in self destruction, but I hope not
Just makes you so angry. It’s all for literally nothing. There is absolutely no reason for this war to even be happening. It’s just cruel that Ukrainians are forced to sacrifice themselves because they live next door to despicable killers.
