I could be dead before itโs rolled out in my area.
What’s nbi ?
It’s interesting with speeds I used to chase them every year with virgin media, from 120-240-360 then siro got connected and jumped on 1gb, and that’s where I’ve seen it was basically irrelevant at that stage, as literally no noticeable difference past 300. As first thing I’ve noticed Mobile tablet nic cards simply max out at 200/400mb nowadays and that pretty much your most users nowadays, as 5g is still new.
Then even if your directly connected on pc, there’s few and very little servers etc that will have that capacity for single user, so that leaves only tech people that prob utilize them speeds.
I’d reckon it’s the ping nowadays that makes it worth it, but even then at home you’d need proper router mesh and all devices upgraded to feel benefits of them speeds.
I guess what I’m saying we live in amazing times now, but, the extra mile is mostly more of future proofing, plus cost vise it’s no brainer to sit on say 100mb, where fiber costs exactly the same nowadays where it’s available.
I struggle to get 10 download ๐๐
*laughs in 2026* (according to the latest update email couple of months ago)
Ah now, Now I won’t have time to get a cup of tea while I wait for my videos to buffer
