I hadn’t heard of Selkolla, Skoffín or Kópakonan. Did you do all of the research yourself?
Ok, Brunnmigi is now my favorite.
Nykur is also “known” in Iceland.
Grýla is a type of a “Tröll”, same with her husband “Leppalúði” and the 13 “Jólasveinar” (Julelads).
And there was also some kind of a cow that lives in the sea or something. Can’t remember what it’s called thought.
I love this map 🙂 Would actually love to get it framed.

It looks awesome! I would change out Scandinavia though because Iceland and Finland are not Scandinavian
I’m Finnish and have never heard of missi massi. Can you link some source for it?
Aweome map… a couple of questions: Why is Hiiden Hirvi in Sweden? o_O and where can I get information about Missi Massi?

Ohh I remember stories from my mother about Grýla!
iceland missing alot of mythical creatures one example would be Nykur is a **horse**-like being that lives underwater. Easily identified by its grey colour and **backwards hooves**, the Nykur will occasionally surface to try and lure passing humans to mount it

We tried to see Lagarfljótsörmurinn but no luck!!
Iceland is not in Scandinavia
I had no idea that the werewolf had norse roots! Interesting.
