  1. Good stuff! I hope all governments and private contractors go with EUTELSAT instead of Starlink. It will save them a lot of headache later on when Elon has his next temper tantrum.

  3. This would bring stability and keep massive amounts of money spent for safety of EU in EU.

  4. Getting rid of starlink, tesla and anything Eloon Muskrat is involved with will be better in the end. 
    He isn’t going to mars, he’s just wasting everyone’s time and money. 

  7. Elon Musk is a national security threat to any democratic country, and any sane nation should decouple from his products as much as possible. He is a reckless, unrealiable, impuslive, narcissistic bully and should not have a hand in any country’s critical national infrastructure.

  8. Just yesterday Musk said if he turns it off Ukraine will lose the warn. No western military will trust Musk with their national security.

  9. Vive la paix européenne! As a German, I’d rather trust a French publicly traded company than the private satellite fleet of a questionable tech billionaire. People need to invest in them as well as use their services more so they can expand. The demand will regulate the supply.

  11. Musk says he can drop Ukraine at the flip of a switch, and insults those paying the bills for starlink.

    Musk threatens. He insults.

    And then he walked it back and implied Ukraine would always have support.

    But you can’t trust him. He’s the de facto President, just below a de facto king.

    If there’s an alternative that can achieve what needs to be done then it must be taken. Just like Tesla should be dropped by everyone.

  14. Good. Who’s to say he won’t wake up from some ketamine fuelled dream at any point and decide Ukraine is “woke” and cut it off.

  15. I’m grateful that 5G came to my region, as once I considered getting Starlink, but was always apprehensive.
    Elon talkijg like that to Poland, gives perfect reason to never look at stuff made by companies 👀 they might be good products, though will suffer greatly due to their head person being a jackass…

  16. It is really interesting how this plays out. Musk has basically fucked Starlink. It can’t be trusted as a defence/government contractor. For EU countries it is valueless.

    As soon as you start threatening to turn it off then it has no value as for that function.

    Starlink, outside of US or Russia is now purely for domestic use for people in remote areas.

    Other solutions will step into that void. No way back for Starlink. You can’t undo it.

  18. Starlink is done as soon as a viable competitor is in the market. They’ve shown themselves to be completely untrustworthy since Musk has shown that he’s willing to completely screw customers over and shut it off based on his own personal political beliefs and allegiances

  20. OneWeb really needs to get their act together with deployment of an updated constellation. Starlink’s technology is really cool, but it hardly matters when you cannot trust whoever operates it.

  21. I have no doubt that Starlinknis is sharing any information it can with the Kremlin. It’s best to dump everything that belongs to Elon.

  22. I already use a wireless connection that needs no satellites.. needs antennas. Faster, cheaper and more reliable to deploy.

    Also.. can’t be turned off by a greedy billionaire.
