    Canada will enact a 25 percent tariff on energy flowing into parts of the U.S. on Monday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said, as U.S. President Donald Trump plows on with his trade war with America’s top trading partners.

    Ford told CBS News in an interview that Trump “can’t attack our country economically and expect us to roll over.”

    Electric bills for Americans across the border “are going to go up,” following the pattern of rising gas prices for northeastern U.S. states, Ford said.

  3. Trump should go through with fixing this dependence issue on canda. They make up 3-5 % of our imports. We make up 75% of their exports

    Then completely fuck them 2 years from now. We supply 15% of candas gas, we handle alot of their technical infrastructure. Fix the people dependent on their electricity then crush them afterwards.

    There’s no reason to have leverage if you never use

  4. I get it but it’s not going to have the impact he’s hoping for. Most of the areas impacted didn’t vote for Trump so they’re basically punishing Trumps political opposition. Feels more like he’s doing Trump a favor more so, I’d hope it would get Trump to make the deals and fix the problem but I have my doubts sadly.
