I understand the sentiment, but we really need to get out of this dog eat dog mentality. Sure, they’re idiots who continually vote to cut off their feet, but they’re our idiots and we need to be there defend their feet because they’re too brainwashed to care about them themselves.

SpaceX now feels it has the right to fill the Gulf of America with their blown up rocket debris.
But this way they get bailouts. And don’t have to actually grow soybeans and such to send in bulk to poor nations with starving kids under USAID, or sell overseas.
Just free cash because their ancestors somehow acquired a few acres.

China could do something very interesting. As farmers having growing seasons, they need to know what to plant/raise. China could remove the tariffs on certain products. Then, when it is time to pick/slaughter/process, they impose massive tariffs. The farmers would find that they created goods with no place to sell them to outside of the US. They would flood the US market with goods, creating a price deflation. This would help minimize the loss that they will incur.
And the eggs and Elmo is going to get us out of nato and end social security
not sure how many countries apart from USA will adapt this new name though.

My 401 is very sad today. I’m very happy that I don’t need funds from it at this time. I feel bad for those that do.
As much as I would love this to happen… No selective screwing is possible in our market. Futures, and options and stocks are all intertwined. This will absolutely crash most of our retirement funds and fuck up nest eggs.
If you haven’t noticed, since Trump took office the market has been at a downward spiral. I think it will be too late in 4 years.
Yup, American farmers are going to be left with a lot of soybeans they can’t sell and can just watch as prices plummet. Also, all the food that got bought and sent as aid to USAID programs will no longer be there as a market for them. Then, of course, the farmers will not be able to plant in the future, because they’re broke or have lost their farms. Then food prices in the US rise due to lower supply. So it’s a multiple-slap whammy, hurting, well, everyone.

Us shutting down USAID contracts did as much or more damage than China is capable of doing, unless this is referring to the boon their AG industry is about to experience being given the AG marketshare by trump.
Trump spent like 20 billion dollars bailing out the farmers the last time his tariffs backfired.

And Ft. Bragg and Ft. Benning are back. But they’re not named after the Confederate generals this time – just people with the same name. Wasn’t that clever? SMH

This is Canada’s response as well and should be the playbook for all countries tariffed by Trump.
