CO2, yes, the stuff plants need is bad. Some 90% of the greenhouse gasses, yes, that evil stuff is water vapor. The greeny weenies are in it for the money as much as anyone. Except the companies take your tax dollars and claim bankruptcy and run with the taxpayer holding the bag, and the next green BS project comes along with its hand out.

Just invest in green energy! Just take all of that gas money you inevitably have in your stock portfolio and put it on renewables instead!! It’s probably a better investment financially at this point!

Did I miss Congress passing a new energy act? Wasn’t the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act like done through democratic means?

What is he talking about? I already replaced my natural gas with renewables. It took some investment, sure, but the ROI isn’t that bad now that I get all my power from rooftop solar.
This path is so obviously the better one, it’s just amazing to watch people hem and haw about it.

It’s not sunny all the time, correct. It’s not windy all the time. correct. If we can use 50% renewable energy from sources like these, we decrease our dependence on polluting, climate changing fossil fuels. Some industries we are a very long way from clean energy. Planes, ships, and trucking, just to name a few. Others we are much closer home heating and local car transportation. Do what we can, where we can, when we can, and keep moving forward.

I’m always amazed how the things that work extraordinarily well every time they are tried in other countries are apparently ‘impossible’ for the US.

A very large % of the natural gas produced in the USA comes from shale gas ( and as byproduct from shale oil).
Shale formations must be hydraulically fractured to allow commercial production rates.
Hydraulic fracturing services are provided by a handful of oilfield companies, and the second/third of these as fracturing operations is Liberty Energy.
Chris Write stepped down from the position of CEO of Liberty Energy a month or two ago…
As long as we have someone like him at the helm of the dept of energy, we’ll have an endless supply of gas.
