  1. So much more brave than certain someone with an “alleged” bone spur

  2. It’s a bit weird that her tag says Alexandra. Isn’t Alexandra her middle-name? Ie, the tag should say “Glücksburg”?

  3. Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s military service reflects a significant commitment, as she is serving as a gunner on the CV90 STING vehicle and has extended her initial training to 15 months, concluding in April 2025. This military engagement is a notable tradition among European royals, illustrating a trend of modern monarchy embracing military service as a rite of passage.

  4. Our heiress (spain) as well the 3 armies (currently in naval)

  5. I must say, that I think this is one of my favorite part about royalties and part why I dislike politicians. Sure, she will and as many other royals, most likely never be put in actual, real danger and if war would happened, she would most likely never serve, though as British Royal Family show, they actually may, to different level. Meanwhile, politicians? They will avoid voluntary, military service and then order people to die in wars, while not having to suffer even a single day in a boot camp, not to mention risking their own skin in a game, while preaching, that we are all in this together.

  6. It’s purely symbolic, she’ll never in a million years serve in a war zone no matter how bad things would get.

She’d be evacuated out of the country if Norway was in danger of being occupied, as her capture and imprisonment would be a morale blow.

Still, it’s a nice gesture that she wants to do her civic duty, it makes her more “approachable” and not quite as elevated above the people. “Folkelig” as one would say in Norwegian.

  7. It’s INSANE to me that it’s 2025 and there are still monarchs.

  8. Imagine your grandmother just telling you: “You know, when I was your age I went to the army with the fucking Queen”

  9. Love this! This is just like Donald Trumps’s kids, right?! Oh wait…

  10. Meanwhile the orange guy form the US avoided the draft 5 times because he had connections.

  11. sadly… all trump’s sons have bone spurs

if not bone spurs, trump would be drafted and USA would win war in Vietnam

  12. Monarchy doesn’t belong in the 21st century but good for her. It’s an accomplishment to be proud of

  13. More service time than the whole tRump administration, combined.

  14. Could you imagine if any of donald’s children were to do the same thing? Would they all suddenly have shin splints?

  15. I don’t like the idea of training people who will never serve in war.
