On February 24th, his restraining order against the ex, which had been active since September 2nd (for clarity, the story broke on August 6th, with the incident on the night of August 4th), was extended by 3 months. He did not consent to this, and filed a complaint as a result. The police, however, through police attorney Andreas Kruszewski, refer to Høiby having already violated it 4 times. The woman also requested it being upheld during an interrogation on December 11th about the fourth violation. She'll also have a final interrogation very soon, and the police want her shielded from Høiby.

The police also believe that he "shows little to no ability and will" to adhere to them, like how he was arrested on September 7th for violating the restraining order after 5 days. He was then arrested at a cabin at Skeikampen on September 13th, where "they had a talk to him about getting it together". And even with that, and being arrested and being in custody, they believe he's violated his restraining order 3 more times, and that his week in custody hasn't changed his view on his it. An unknown incident on January 31st has also been a factor here for his "disregard", though it's supposedly not violating the restraining order. The police have thus deemed a 3 month extension necessary, which the Oslo court are evaluating this week.
