Greatest mistake by denmark, they should have integrated greenland as a core part of its territory and increase its population to at least 400000 through migration and encouraged the increased birth rate. At the moment, it is too small of a population to be anything just telling it straight. If it becomes a US territory, it would be in a worst position than puerto rico, and worst the people are majority indigenous. The US have a lot of history about neglecting to the worst point on its indigenous population in its territory, with a population of only 50k in greenland they can just forget they exist and strip mine the island to oblivion.
