  19. It’s been nearly 5 years since Tesla rolled out a legitimate model, and the 2 others are even older designs.

    The stock is overvalued based on non-automotive hype about AI and self driving taxis, with some robot nonsense thrown in.

    Watching Musk flail around and jerk off to data he doesn’t understand in government isn’t appealing to the believers in the non-automotive pipe dream stuff.

  26. I read elsewhere today that Elon used his Tesla shares to backstop his Twitter purchase of $44B.

    If the stock falls closer to $100 they can call his loans.

    Tesla is a speculative stock as currently priced. It exceeds the combined value of Ford, GM, Stellantia, Honda and Toyota but sells only a fraction of the vehicles. Now sales have fallen by 50% n many markets. Sounds like it’s ripe for a collapse.

    1)  another one of his spaceships blew up

    2)  sales of his vehicles are cratering

    2.2)  The stock price of his vehicle company is also catering

    2.3)  wildly inflated sales of his vehicles are being investigated for fraud by a foreign country’s government

    3)  Twitter, his social media platform, is being DDOS’ed hard

    4)  his government-slashing policies are rightfully hated, and he’s being blamed for engineering a recession

    5)  his own daughter publicly loathes him everyday

    6)  there’s yet *another* baby mama, and she wants full custody of their kid

    Setting aside all name-calling, this is a level of stress that goes beyond what any normal man should be capable of withstanding.  

    I know the media adores all these *roll 1d6 for famous right-winger* MELTS DOWN over *current event* stories, but I’m legitimately shocked the guy isn’t having a constant series of debilitating panic attacks.  Nobody should be able to handle all that stress.

  37. I have zero sympathy for any of the TSLA stock owners. It has been known for a while the sort of extremist he has become. So by holding onto the stock, that is the sort of gamble given how unhinged and manic he has become. It does bring me joy watching the stock go down in particular for TSLA because much of his wealth is tied to it. So as it goes down, so does his wealth.

  42. Tesla stock is almost like crypto, it feels like it is valuable just because people have arbitrarily given it value.  Their sales are dropping, their self driving features are falling behind rivals, and musk regularly over promises and underdelivers- where’s the real value?
