Sourdough does not need any additional yeast. If you need some active starter you can make it yourself or I could mail you a little next week when im back home.
This product excist only to give a hint of sourdough aroma to regular yeasted bread, its not active, however you can actually create live dry sourdough by dehydrating it carefully. For legal reasons, this stuff u have is sterile.
Ehh, I wouldn’t call it a rye bread (with dough root) if it has white flour OR yeast. And no, haven’t tried that.
We have some root in the fridge and some dried root also. What it needs, is water, dough root, rye flour and salt. Some patience and you have a perfect bread.
Ask around / or check local FB if someone has actual root they made from scratch. Once you have it, it’ll never run out if you feed it properly and remember to use it once in a while.
edit: ah, Misread this. It wasn’t about the rye bread but sourdough. My bad. Still, doesn’t need any yeast if the root is in condition.
Also misspelled name. Should be luomU, not luomO.
It is amazing there is no proofreading anywhere nowadays. Even TV news in Finland has always grammar errors and misspelled words.
