Fuck Red Bull. McDaids Cola, cream soda and Football Special
This has really highlighted how superior the “boycott” products and services are then the alternatives 😅
Is there actually a British Electronics brand called “Nothing” or do they just have no alternatives for electronics?
Also, it’s missing Apache Pizza and it’s off-brand equivalent Eskimo Pizza. I don’t know why, but all I can think of for Ireland is fast food chains!
TIL we are the European kings of the fast food industry.
Ireland doesn’t have access to Britbox? Wow.
I’m an American and in the past I might have gotten a little annoyed at something like this.
Sadly this is the state we’re in and I really can’t blame any of you for boycotting the US and the products that are produced in my country.
I mean, what else can you do?
Maybe, just maybe, there will be enough boycotts that will have an effect on the US economy enough, and Americans will see that we can’t simply elect a guy because he supposedly represents “change.”
I hate the fact that these boycotts could have an effect on my friends and family back home (I currently live in Malaysia), but what else can be done?
We are strong in the car industry but the rest, hmmm.
How many abrakebabras do i have to eat for trump to leave the white House?
Missing the biggest from the list of drinks… Club is still European, owned by Carlsberg.
Also Iron Bru is still Scottish
A lot of the companies on the left employ a lot of people in Ireland. So, perhaps worth a rethink.
While I agree with the sentiment, the list is for the most part bollocks, on both sides.
That is like a depressing list of all the areas US companies are streaks ahead of the EU. So much catching up to do. Tariffs are stupid and main impact is on country imposing them. Trump has taken on too many battles and cracks will emerge.
On technology it really highlights the dominance of US offerings. Try run your tech enabled or web based business without US firms. Heck, even just having an integrated cloud based office/email/storage solution would be… clunky… vs buying Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
There’s also the small matter for us, discussed in a thread yesterday, that our economy and employment is heavily dependent on many of these US firms.
I think we’d have to be selective in our boycotts to goods produced in the US.
🤣🤣
Choose Unilever Owned products over proctor and gamble.
Fortunately I’m already boycotting most of these due to their ties to the genocidal Israelis
I agree with the idea and will buy more European but red bull as an alternative to even monster is insane.
Daily motion as a replacement for streaming services also crazy.
The rest of the list also highlights how far we’ve allowed America to outpace us.
BlueSky is not a non-profit. It’s a standard for-profit American company.
Huh I didnt know Eddie Rockets is Irish. I thought it was the same company as the American Johnny Rockets. I’m surprised the Americans didn’t try to sue the in the same way McDonald’s tried to sue Supermacs .
