I want to connect a washing machine under my bathroom sink and want to try to do it myself carefully. (Yes, I’m aware of possible risks).

Under the sink there is a pipe bringing clean water horizontally from the wall that goes to a Eckventil (shut off valve) and then turns up to the sink. Both pipes are from rigid metal. Its color is silverish, it could be aluminium maybe.

It all looks like this: [https://forum.teamhack.de/attachment/18392-waschmaschine-jpg/](https://forum.teamhack.de/attachment/18392-waschmaschine-jpg/)

My idea for the simplest way to connecting the washing machine is to to put between the Eckventil and the pipe going to to sink another component (Eckfix) like this one:

that will give one more water exit protected with an additional tap.

Now the problem is of course the rigid pipe from the Eckventil upwards to the sink. Seems I have to cut it, in order to reduce its length, because the Eckfix will add height.

I wonder how can I manage without cutting the rigid pipe. I can carefully bend it and move it horizontally a bit, but not upwards.

The Eckventil seems not to be screwed, but either welded or fitted inside the horizontal pipe that goes to the wall. Schade, if it was screwed, I could possibly turn it a bit, at the same time bend the rigid pipe horizontally and maybe manage to fit the Eckfix diagonally between them.

The only thing I can think, is to put the Eckfix on the Eckventil, then bend the rigid pipe and try to connect a new flexible plastic pipe between them.

Do you have any suggestions?

Herzlichen Dank in advance. 🙂
