These are 2 total different planes. The F35 is superiour in every way. The Eurofighter is nice, but in the 21st century not that useful anymore.
This is not a solution either, range and stealth are king nowadays. We need a modern tornado like project for a 5th gen.

I wish our idiots in Romania wake up too, we also signed a deal for F-35s but it’s more delayed and I’m sure it can be cancelled IF THEY WANTED TO, ugh…. meanwhile we are buying US drones and US tanks and all sorts of US weapons… while flying US planes (which they stopped the updates on in Ukraine so apparently those too are vulnerable…) and relying on the Patriot defense system. We are screwed!

I really hope that we’ll be able to create different, intercompatible weapon systems at European level. We’re not going to be angelic, our interests don’t always align, but I hope that in the long term, building a real independent European doctrine and defense will prevail.
