    Normally an injury like that is a tragedy but I’ll make an exception here. I imagine being in prison in a wheelchair for such cowardly and disgusting crimes won’t be fun.

  10. He’s an utter psychopathic scumbag with no remorse and clearly his attempt at suicide was nothing more than an attempt to avoid prison. At interrogation he just replied “no comment” to every question in a vain hope to get away with it. Fucker deserves to rot in a cell and i’m glad he survived to face that reality. I’m betting he’ll appeal and even go on hunger strike in an attempt to remain relevant.

  11. If you’ve not read the full impact statement from John Hunt, I highly recommend it. It’s a tragic yet compelling read, he manages to reiterate how much of a waste of breath this ‘man’ is while capturing the beauty of his family, all within a few short paragraphs. I can’t imagine how he ever penned it, but it’s one of the most powerful things I’ve ever read.

One of the rare cases where the perpetrator of such a depraved crime is actually better off alive than dead, given that he has paralysed himself and will presumably be under constant threat from his able-bodied fellow scumbags, perhaps he will feel some fraction of the horror he inflicted on his victims.

    Glad he’s paralysed but also annoyed as I’d imagine he will now require extra help etc/more taxpayers money. Rather pic him sat in his own shitty pants rolling around his cell.

    Drag the cunt there in manacles and leg-irons, on a porter’s trolley with a face mask on, Hannibal Lecter style, if necessary. Declined, my arse. That needs to stop right now, certainly for verdicts and sentencing, and ideally for the whole trial.

  26. This weak, pathetic loser got exactly what he deserves. The rest of his life behind bars in a wheelchair because he was too much of a self absorbed psychopath to get over being dumped and too much of a coward to deal with the consequences of his heinous actions.

    I doubt he feels regret or guilt over what he did but I hope he feels abject fear at having to spend every day as vulnerable and helpless as he made Louise feel before he murdered her.
