>“There is a considerable risk that, should tensions increase, further disruptions to gas and oil supplies might occur, and in a worst case, end-user rationing might be required in Europe, ” it said.
>A Government memo circulated to Ministers earlier this month similarly warned that household gas and electricity may have to be rationed if the current energy crisis sparked by the war worsens.
This will be interesting.
This is why Irish and EU policy should be an immediate de-escalation of the conflict and not sending more weapons to unnecessarily prolong it.
Just put me in the ground.
It’s probably going to get much worse. Hopefully Russia collapses sometime in the near future.
Lol, so the standard YoY rent increase for most of the under 40s for the past decade. It will be interesting to see how all the “that’s just the market” cunts react.
If you don’t get a pay rise of 8.5% then you are getting a pay cut this year
It’s interesting that this is causing a scramble for domestic solar power and heat pumps.
But work told me my 3% pay rise would cover inflation?
What are we supposed to do? I’ve a bit of savings put together to work on a house deposit, but inflation like this is really gonna devalue them. I’d put it into the market but I was planning on using them in the next few years…
Ahh sure it’ll be grand when retailers reduce their prices when inflation falls in the future /s
Back to growing our own….
And burning peat and drinking poteen…
Does that mean that rent can potentially go up 8.5% in RPZ?
Fuck.
People here is saying it’s corporate greed. The only answer to why there’s high inflation is the EU money supply over the last few yrs, yet there’s no immediate call to raise interest rates…?
I said this inflation would come last year and a guy who worked in finance slated me.
I hope he remembers.
Oh and change your occupation.
Of course the statisticians will still claim that this is the second best country in the world to live in.
It probably already is 8.5% and will go higher, the official numbers are always lower. If they keep printing all those green papers, what else can we expect? Feel free to check out my YouTube video on inflation:
While governments and big powers play their games, we the usual folk suffer. Ukrainians, Russians, Irish, Europeans, everyone. Thank you Putin, thank you NATO, someone ship me out of this fucking planet.
Dont worry folks the government will give themselves a payrise to compensate for it…..ffs
**IF WAGES WOULD RISE 8.5% IT WOULDN’T BE A FUCKING ISSUE.**
It’s forecast to be 8.5% but you know how things go , the day of it’ll come and it’ll be closer to 9.5%.
Oh wait that’s not better actually.
Inflation is cause by all the money printing the ECB did.
I am absolutely shitting myself.
We’re barely managing as it is on my wages and my partner cannot work as he’s been left with brain damage after illness.
The fucking social are doing everything they can to NOT grant him a Disability Payment.
I am so scared and stressed out
My mortgage when I bought in late 2007 was in around €1250 a month, it’s currently at €860 a month. I was single at the time, married now and other half pays half the mortgage. I’ll be alright, but anyone who got a mortgage recently may get some shock.
Got my first shock today. Electricity bill is just shy of €300. I live on my own in a council flat.
