He tariffs China and Canada etc. because the US has a trade deficit with them (which he wrongly interprets as ‘losing’ in trade because he sees everything like a 4 year old). But the US has a trade *surplus* with Australia.

  43. Some of the steel he’s slapping tarrifs on is the stuff they use to build warships that can’t be/isn’t manufactured in the US.

    Also Australia has a trade deficit with US.
