So in January, I paid €244 radiotax which was pending for last 1 year, and my roommate also paid the same amount because he also got the notice. Now they sent me this. Can someone please explain what is this?

  1. you should contact them, put a copy of your anmeldung with your roomate that you should be charged just for once as you are living under the same roof,

    You have 173.24€ outstanding radio **fee** payments. Some outstanding from the past and new 55.08€ for Feb-Apr.

    Also you should sort out with your roommate who pays, because only one person has to pay. But for that you have to … talk to the Beitragservice.

  5. As of Dec 24, you owed them 321.76€
    In Jan 25, you paid 203.60€
    For Feb-Apr 25, you owe them additional 55.08€

    So your total balance is now -173,24€, which they ask you to pay.

    If you have the money, just pay it now. So you don’t get any fees. Everything that is too much you will get back. 
    Second: 
    If you don’t have the money call asap. 
    You need to get in contact with them. 
    Your roommate and you are on household and because of that you pay together for Rundfunkgebühren. Have the letter ready because you need the long number in the title.

  13. Basically there is a online portal from ARD where you can add the details of someone else is already paying the radio tax, once done just send the copy to them and it should be done.

  15. 15 years in germany and i never had to pay that shit i refused for years to pay and at the end they give up and still they didnt get any money from me and they will never get and they cant do shit 😂 cant sue me, cant block my card they are harmless i see them as a scam nothing more

  16. I live in a 2 room dorm too.
    And my roommate got the radio tax letter.
    He paid it. And I transferred him half of the amount that he paid.
    Either one of you has to pay and the other roomie will use the reference number and submit it online that radio tax for this house has already been paid by a member of the house.
    You both need not to pay it.
    1 person per household.

    As per their rule, if the entrance to your room and his room is connected to one main entrance door, you’re considered one household
