  1. The United States declared that the “ball was in Russia’s court” after Kyiv accepted a proposal for an immediate ceasefire and America resumed military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

President Trump said he hoped Russia would agree to the 30-day ceasefire plan drawn up by American and Ukrainian officials at the end of all-day talks in Saudi Arabia, and that he would talk to President Putin.

“I’ll talk to Vladimir Putin, it takes two to tango,” Trump said. “Now we have to go to Russia and hopefully Putin will agree to [the ceasefire] also and we can get this show on the road.”

This is the first time since Trump took office that Washington has publicly pressured Russia to compromise and negotiate

  2. Russia is not going to accept this, Trump will do his usual gaslighting, and then eventually leave this mess for the Europeans to deal with.

  3. I have heard word for word this expression of ‘Bal is in Russia court’from Macron, EU, and now also US.

  4. Those of us who want people to stop dying are happy about this. Can’t believe liberalism has come to the point where it seeks out warfare

  5. Who would actually benefit from a 30 day ceasefire? Russia has Kursk now but seem to be slowing down in the East.

  6. Ball has been in Russia’s court for the last 10 years…

  7. So if Russia accepts this

What happens if France, uk, poland just then send tons of troops into Ukraine and say “yea its against the cease fire but what you gonna do?”

Its not like Russia would be in any state to war all of those countries

  8. This is not a truce but a respite for Ukraine, which will be able to increase its reserves, catch people and build fortifications.
