Ukrainian soldiers honored the fallen volunteer (28-year-old) citizen of New Zealand, and representative of the indigenous Maori people, Dominic Abelin – he was in International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
I watched the video of the ceremony they performed for him (before sending him home for a proper burial I presume) and I think it shows his comrades’ as well as ukraine’s gratitude for his service in a beautiful way. I hope this will provide his relatives with a bit of comfort during their mourning of his passing, R.I.P.
