The construction of a factory for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Belarus could be a significant step for our country, especially given the growing demand for such technologies – as noted by member of the House of Representatives’ Standing Commission on National Security Ruslan Shkodin

The parliamentarian pointed out that now drones are now being used very actively in the interests of ensuring military security of the state, protecting the state border, public order, monitoring and eliminating the consequences of emergency situations, environmental protection and other areas.

“The construction of the done manufacturing facility will bring many benefits to our country. First of all, we are talking about the creation of new jobs, because new qualified personnel will be needed, and secondly, there will be an increase in tax revenues to the budget, which will be used to improve the standard of living of our citizens. In addition, we should take into account social aspects such as education, training of qualified personnel, which, in turn, will create the need for new educational programmes. Moreover, it will also improve infrastructure in the regions where the plant will be built,” the MP explained.

Speaking about the global aspects, the parliamentarian noted that the products of this plant will enable Belarus to take a more competitive position in this industry and meet the growing demand both directly in the republic and on the foreign market.

“This direction can really bring many favourable results,” Mr. Shkodin emphasised.
