  1. No consequences aside from .. you know … those environmental consequences that we are all experiencing and will continue to experience.

  2. What consequences were they supposed to face?

    It was a PR thing. Granted, that doesn’t mean it’s BAD. If your company feeds the poor for PR, they are still feeing the poor. If your company goes green for PR, they are still going green.

    In this case, they were going to go green for PR, and then they realized that there would be no PR hit if the bailed on it, so they did. (And that in fact, there would be a *negative* hit to their bottom line if they continued, as the federal government might attack them if they push that angle too much. Same reason they dropped DEI.)
