Failed my test today, what a joke some one decided to do a u turn on a small road with cars both sides so I pulled into the left as he has right of way. He then proceeds to flash me telling me I can go so I went, turns out I wasn’t supposed to go and should’ve waited which left me failing the test!

Shit that’s annoying, what would the right thing be for them in that situation?
I’ve my test soon so finding people sharing failure reasons helpful.
Don’t take it personally.
They had to make there 50/50 unofficial not written down anywhere quota. It totally isn’t a thing but overall results come out the pretty much the same year after year.
In the rules of the road flashing lights means you’re signalling someone to let them know you’re there. It does not mean you’re giving way for them to go on.
Even though that is what people use it as, you shouldn’t have went unfortunately! Chin up, and use the experience to pass next time!
I made this mistake with one of my lessons, but luckily my instructor told me I was wrong for taking his signal to go because I would have failed my test too. I dont remember this info being in the book so in my opinion you failed because your instructor didn’t tell you about it. Sorry to hear man.
