Christopher Lloyd attended the Roundabout Theatre Company’s 2025 Gala held at The Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York on Monday, March 10. The Back to the Future star, 86, was on-hand to celebrate actor Danny DeVito, 80, who accepted the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre.
Lloyd was joined by his Taxi costars, Carol Kane, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner, and Judd Hirsch. The group all posed for photos together on the red carpet before heading inside for the ceremony.

The Angels in the Outfield actor, who will celebrate his 87th birthday in October, wore a black suit to the event, but his overall look has changed in recent years. He appeared in good spirits, sporting a more bald look than his previous thicker white hair and Taxi days, when he had a full head of brown hair.
Danza, 73, also looked different at the event, with a full head of long white hair, which is a big change from how many fans remember him from his time on shows like Who’s the Boss?
Perhaps the signature tell for Lloyd was his glasses, which have become part of his character since the early 2000s.
Lloyd has been in the entertainment business for more than 50 years — and he’s still going. He has dozens of credits to his name, and even more projects lined up for 2025, including a recurring role in the new television series Tooned Out, which is set for an April release.

In 2024, Lloyd was nominated for an Emmy for his role in Hacks.
“You just never know,” he told Gold Derby of the nomination — his first in 30 years. “It’s such an incredible cast I felt sort of intimidated, you know, I really feel that way. Just coming in with them and the artists that they are, the professionalism they exhibit – fitting in was the concern. I wanted to give off their energy, get into the energy of the show, and contribute.”
Lloyd didn’t win the award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, however. The award went to Jon Bernthal for his role in The Bear.
