it`s so last season
Can someone help me figure out what the toys are? I only recognize krteček and mickey mouse.
The kid looks like Greta Thunberg.
BIG BIG KRTKUS BIG KRTKUS BIG KRTKUS
my take: those are not toys but live creatures, symbols of countries that want to comfort Ukraine that they are with her.
Oh “Krtek” at bottom right as we call it here in Croatia. My favorite cartoon when I was little. 90s good times.
Maya The Bee is probably supposed to represent the German animated TV show (popular throughout Europe in the 1980s) but this is rather common mistake and many people don’t know its real origin:
“Maya The Honey Bee / みつばちマーヤの冒険 / Včelka Mája / Die Biene Maja” TV series from 1970s is **not German** but Japanese (see [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_the_Honey_Bee)). This Japanese TV series is based on old German book from 1912 but Maya in the book looks significantly different.
Also, Karel Gott had nothing to do with the original version, his song was only added for the European version.
Just to point out that Finland is not a NATO member, at least yet. Discussion whether to join or not rages on with previously shorthanded “team Join” now holding 60% upper hand.
Btw if Finland eventually joins, we might also see Pippi Långström popping up on that mural as well.
It’s a beautiful image, I’ve been to see it and is powerful. Although Moomin’s used to scare the bejesus out of me as a child.
