Due to extremely difficult weather conditions, all the top biathletes started in the first group. Johannes Boe started under #3, and was supposed to be a valuable reference point for the entire peloton, but by the middle of the race it became clear that the Norwegian could not maintain a strong pace. His result was surpassed by Jakov Fak, Samuelsson was close, and his main rival Sturla Laegreid was ahead by 19 seconds by the middle of the distance.

And at the last standing, Johannes missed, and even one miss had too much of an impact on the final result. Boe is not in good condition, on the last lap he lost 20 seconds to Fak, and almost 40 to Eric Perrot and Ponsiluoma.

Considering that Laegreid also made a mistake, but didn’t get lost on the last lap, there was another change of leader in the overall standings, so the jersey goes to Laegreid.

And the hero of today, of course, was Jakov Fak. The Slovenian, to the delight of the local stands, it is unclear how happy the fans were to stand in the pouring rain, won for the first time this season! 0-0-0-0 – That’s what helped Jakov to be first.

Tomasso Giacomel had long been in contention for third place, but the super-fast Ponsiluoma was faster than the Italian, bronze goes to the Swede.

Johannes Dale didn’t win this race, but he shut up Christiansen, who did not mince words 4 days earlier.
