Iceland is the best country to move to in 2025, followed by Switzerland, Luxembourg, Norway, and UAE. This ranking is according to the US-based financial services firm Remitly.

Other countries in the top 10 of Remitly’s immigration index are Ireland, the US, Denmark, Netherlands.

The Immigration Index ranks 82 countries around the world on 24 important factors to consider when moving to a new country, offering each nation a comprehensive score out of 100 to rank their overall immigration appeal.  From healthcare quality, economic strength, and safety metrics, to digital connectivity and suitability for families – the company has analysed thousands of data points to reveal which countries they find the best for those seeking a better quality of life abroad.

Finland, Singapore and Sweden rank 12, 13 and 14 respectively. The classic migration country, Thailand is on 22. place, followed by China on 41st place, Indonesia on 47th, Philippines on 48th and Malaysia on 51st place.
